United States of North America is not a country name

United States of America is not a proper noun; state is a geographical portion, all countries are states; united is a collective noun of a gathering such as a federation, or confederation; America is a meeting of two extremes of a continent, the North and the South, united by an isthmus, so the USA is not yet named, it is just an acronym that describes it as an acronym of a company such as IMF, International Monetary Fund, or WB World Bank, just a description of an association, as there could be and have been several countries starting with the same name such as the United States of Brazil, United States:

United States of Belgium, a confederation that existed during the year 1790

Republic of the United States of Brazil, the official name of Brazil between 1889 and 1937
