The International Classification of Diseases (ICD) published by the World Health Organization (WHO) aims to standardize the coding of diseases and other health-related problems. These categories can encompass a group of illnesses that are equivalent or originate from the same principle, such as infectious diseases, mental and behavioral disorders, blood diseases, among others.
