The International Classification of Diseases (ICD) published by the World Health Organization (WHO) aims to standardize the coding of diseases and other health-related problems. This standardization is important both for communication with government agencies (such as Social Security) and for translating the nomenclature into another language, avoiding misunderstandings.

Despite its importance, the use of ICD-10 in medical certificates is not mandatory due to doctor-patient confidentiality. However, no company can refuse a medical certificate.

The ICD-10 acronym is used because the catalog is in its tenth version. However, a new update is expected in 2018, when the ICD-11 acronym will be used.

Each code in the ICD-10 List consists of a letter followed by numbers and allows the identification of all known diseases, as well as symptoms, patient complaints, abnormalities, social circumstances, and external causes of injuries or illnesses.

Currently, the ICD table contains 22 chapters divided into 275 groups, with 2,045 categories and 12,451 subcategories. These categories can encompass a group of illnesses that are equivalent or originate from the same principle, such as infectious diseases, mental and behavioral disorders, blood diseases, among others.

These same schizophrenic behaviors apply to communist activists who see the socialist structure as more important than the human being: radically, they love the ideology, the communist project, much more than the people they see as structural instruments beneath the Marxist superstructure.
