Do they still teach market economics in economics courses? ASML

Where is 21st-century civilization centered?
It is obviously, logically, factually, evidently, truly, certainly, undoubtedly, and contingently—in its entirety—dependent on the nanotechnology of microprocessors and digital micromemory. A monopoly on this technology is held by the Dutch company ASML, which is controlled by the military, political, economic, and monopolistic policies of the United States. The U.S. has effectively blocked China—with its 1.4 billion inhabitants—from accessing these technologies. This is not a matter of theft, espionage, or smuggling; China is simply prohibited from acquiring computer chips and the ultraviolet lithography machines used to print the cores of digital microchips.
Only U.S. companies and NATO member nations are permitted to purchase the machines and chips produced by ASML.
So much for the "free competition" of the free market.
This appears to be a rupture in Adam Smith’s market system. If so, can anyone prove that colonialism, the Enlightenment, the "world-system," global trade, multinational corporations, globalization, and neoliberalism ever constituted a competitive capitalist system governed by established rules—or was it, rather, an institution within an international relations framework that was both regulated and self-regulating?
Never in the history of civilization has there truly existed a "free-market" trading system—that is, trade governed by the laws of a free market. There has always been a hegemon ready to intervene in the laws of supply and demand. The "invisible hand" is not easily identified or seen; yet, it is immense, dishonest, and powerful—protected by 14 nuclear-powered aircraft carriers and 950 military bases across 87 countries, where the flag with thirteen stripes and fifty visible stars—along with 27 other stars hidden beneath the red and white stripes—flies.
