Is there a standard for taste?
How could it be possible to know exactly the same taste that another is experiencing?
What would the mechanism be like to be able to describe taste impressions so that another person can reproduce exactly the same taste sensation in your mouth?
How would it be possible to measure taste and taste on a measurement scale numerically?
As none of these questions can be answered scientifically according to the positivism initiated by Comte, then it would be a useless discussion only circumvented by a quantitative research about the average of the answers of a sample of tasters, but even so, the median taste or the standard deviation is nothing. it would satisfy everyone's taste, not even a random person, it's enough for one of them to disagree and this palate is mine then, the six stars of flavor excellence will not make my taste buds satisfied.
Everyone has their own taste, this goes for everything without exception, from: music, painting, drawing, movies, videos, photographs, books, profession, leisure, hobbies, places, countries, politics, ideology, religion, sex, taste, drinks, food, nothing can be imposed, even if it is the absolute majority, because if it does not satisfy a person, it will not be the average or the median nor the specialized criticism, nor the knowledge and status of the taster that will impose the other new taste on a person. , an ethnicity, a culture, a country, or a family.
As long as this exists, we will continue to watch the parade of pseudo connoisseurs of: wine, whiskeys, champagne, bread, meats, barbecue, pasta, peppers, sweets, even water, but if these connoisseurs of sophisticated flavors about the best beer and the best cheese do not make me like and please me, nothing can be said about my ability to refine taste, because there is no numerical scale that can compare a person's superior or inferior gustatory experiences, because it would eliminate all possibility of variety of flavors , tastes, colors, preferences, sounds, desires and that in itself would be terribly impoverished to human culture.
