From Osorio to Alvaro Alberto
Who remembers the Osório tank project in the international bidding promoted by the government of Saudi Arabia, when our project was the winner among competitors from England, USA, France, Sweden, South Korea, Germany?
So in the last test, the model defended by the USA came out of the sand towed by our Osório, not that it was better, but it was the most appropriate project, since it used a diesel internal combustion piston engine, unlike the gas turbine engine of the US model Abrhams that was suffocated by the suction of sand so the problem was anticipated which was a turbojet engine in the sand environment like all models in the world powered by this type of engine.
The rest of the story everyone knows, the US banned the winner from selling the Osório and through political and economic pressure forced the losing battle tank to be acquired by Saudi Arabia.
It was not the first time that North American crooks have done this around the world, more recently they made France return the Mistral landing ships ordered by Russia from Russia, made Turkey expelled from the F35 Lightnning stealth fighter program that were bought and paid for. but not delivered to the Turkish air force, and recently broke the contract to supply 12 Scorpene submarines by France to Australia, so the crook goes around the world spreading confusion and mischief.
Now it once again prohibits Brazil from purchasing spare parts for Cobra helicopters purchased from Russia, and prohibits any Western company from selling a single nail or lamp that could be used in the Brazilian-built Alvaro Alberto nuclear-powered submarine, and all that time 30 years of delays in schedules finally reached the general public as a process of systematic US sabotage, this is regrettable.
