underestimating religion

I just don't understand how interesting people are so busy beating up religion, and people who have religion.
I don't follow religion, but I have a deep respect, because religions are created every year, but none were uncreated, destroyed, extinct, why?
Powerful people and wise people underestimate religion, and followers, but: not Nero throwing Christians to the lions in the arena, not Hitler, not the inquisition, not the crusades, not Mao Tse Dong, not Xou en Lai, not Xi Jim Ping , nor KIm Jum Um, no human being has succeeded in destroying and annihilating religion?
