The warning given by Galbraith, the same warning given by former President Franklin Delano Roosevelt, about the US military-industrial complex, the bloodsucker of the US economy, conscience, and politics.

With public money being siphoned off by Lockheed, Boeing, Raytheon, Google, GM, and a list of banks and fake IT startups, the deficit reaches $35 trillion.

Social security was created to mitigate the effects of the American Way of Life in the face of the progress of the USSR, which emerged from a capitalist monarchy with only a dozen mechanized tractors in the countryside, without an automobile industry, to become the leading military and economic power for a brief period, controlling astronautics with consecutive records: the first artificial satellite, the first living being in space, the first human in space, the first woman in space, the first pair of astronauts in space, the first rendezvous of two spacecraft in space, the first human spacewalk, the first manned space station, the first spacecraft to land on the moon, the first spacecraft to visit another planet. These records were only broken with the first astronauts from another country to orbit the moon and land on the moon seven times.

Now the country is in a trap of astronomical gastronomy with 850 military bases. The United States, where it spends 40% of its trillion-dollar budget solely on fuel, lubricants, transportation, and maintenance of over 2,000 facilities worldwide in more than 70 countries, for absolutely nothing, is not even remotely threatened by any major power with invasion or destruction, just to justify the stratospheric spending on companies in the military-industrial complex, where the most expensive military project, the F-35 stealth aircraft, occupies 49 American states and more than 20 countries to secure political patronage in the US Congress and guarantee the flow of funds to over one hundred thousand companies involved in the military equipment manufacturing process.

So, the highly protectionist social system in British healthcare, the system of allocating idle privately owned properties in Germany for social use, the French tax system that discourages the creation and maintenance of millionaires and eliminates the possibility of billionaires, the offer of completely free education in public universities in Spain—putting all this together, found in Great Britain, France, Germany, Spain, and others, we see that throughout Europe there is the same behavior, the same social policy, without a declared name or category such as socialist, social-democratic, or communist, just a pattern of behavior that repeats itself.

So, the US is lagging behind even compared to Brazil, which has important 100% free public universities, a completely free and universal Unified Health System open even to foreigners, a social security system with intermittent pensions and social benefits payments (unlike the US), and a permanent public housing plan that aims to guarantee minimum access to housing, urbanization, access to electricity, sanitation, and treated water, a rainwater drainage system, and access to free general vaccination and basic schooling.

Therefore, the US is on the verge of revolution or urgent reform of its social, economic, fiscal, educational, social security, and medical systems, either through violence or intelligent revolution. The US lacks European moderation; I presume a violent reaction is ripe for social eruption with an explosion of popular demands in the streets, already.
