End of violence?

End of violence?

How much energy is spent to satisfy punitive hatred? Punishment will not undo the damage, it will not bring back the deaths of the pandemic, it will not go back in time and undo all the acts that we did not want to be done, it will not bring back the moment, nor will it go back in time to correct what went wrong, because all acts and facts are definitive.

Prison, the death penalty, or life imprisonment will not undo the evil committed, nor will they serve as an example. If this were the case, after 80 million direct deaths in the Second World War there would be no more world wars, but people continue to kill and steal despite everything.

In Sweden, social efficiency eliminated crime. In El Salvador, police brutality eliminated crime. In India, Buddhism's promise of reincarnation sublimated the temptation of crime and violence into the behavioral apathy of Dalits.

There is no single, perfect formula for perfecting general human behavior.
