Hollywood's volatile marriages

Hollywood's volatile marriages

I've always wondered, for over fifty years, why my favorite Hollywood couples split up?

I knew about the existence of marriage contracts, truly grandiose spectacles to promote films, contractual restrictions on everything, from diet, weight control, haircut control, residential address, house standards, parties and celebrations, nothing was natural or real, everything was part of the Star System, yes, I wasn't naive, but there were exceptions, I believed.

But there is a fundamental Freudian issue, artists have a congenital defect that makes them different from lawyers, engineers, soldiers, they have a hypersensitivity to beauty, to the desire for hedonistic satisfaction, incapable of planning anything, everything is pleasure in their mind, everything is aesthetics, everything is vanity, I imagine how difficult it is to manage an artistic cast with the extreme mental superficiality of a person whose mind sees the world as something to be enjoyed without limits, only with the senses.

Then they soon get tired and bored with the routine, they always want to be seen and praised, and noticed, and adored, and nothing is capable of satisfying their unlimited desires, jewelry, houses, clothes, surgeries and cosmetic procedures like Michael Jackson can even change color, nothing can be limited by beauty and vanity, nothing can prevent them from exacerbating the search for pleasure, the sole objective of narcissists and vain people.

When you give them a lot of money and power then you clearly realize the dimension of the aberration and this is just the tip of the iceberg of vanity and pretension, unlimited, unmanageable, immeasurable, with no limit between madness and fantasy indistinct from reality, psychotic insensitivity and lack of empathy, exaggerated and superfluous emotion capable of crying for an abandoned baby or puppy, everything is emotion, nothing outside of emotion, simply the desire to live with adrenaline and accelerated pulse all the time. For them, only ostracism and contempt are capable of destroying their lives.

They are anomic suicides, without planning and without financial and emotional balance. Their lives are an eternal storm, a cauldron of emotions that must be kept burning forever, and neither old age can stop it, nor decay nor reality can interrupt their trajectory towards the end.
